Membership Secretary: Jo Corby
I started riding at the age of 6 and got my first pony at 9, a black Fell pony with a white star fullfiling my wish for my own Black Beauty. At 10 I progressed to a feisty dapple grey Welsh B mare, every little girls dream pony, who I kept at Catlips before getting Willow a lovely part bred Arab gelding on whom I competed mainly in Working Hunter classes and represented the Pony Club in Prix Caprilli.

After selling him to buy a car at 17 (I am now horrified that I did that!) had a break from riding before loaning various Arabs and eventually buying my own grey Arab mare. We had ten years together mainly hacking but also competing at local dressage and very small jumping (now a complete coward) when sadly I lost her in 2008. I was lucky enough to be able to purchase her half sister who is my pride and joy as well as a very sweet Arab gelding. I hope to get them both out to dressage competitions and start some Endurance in 2012.

General Member: Aline Hawkins
I started riding at the age of 26…!!! My childhood’s dream at last realised… I remember my first hunter trial where I fell at every fence…!!! I have been the lucky owner of 3 wonderful horses doing riding club activities with them including dressage, ODEs and working hunting classes.

• Pip whom I hunted weekly with the Vale of Aylesbury, giving me wonderful chases jumping hedges, x-country fences and 5 bar gates.

• Bryn was a very handsome gelding doing mainly Odes with him.

• My current horse is Fleur I always said that I wouldn’t buy a young chestnut mare and of course Fleur was a 4yr old Chestnut Mare. I’ve had wonderful times with her and were still doing riding club activities. Last year I took her to France for 6 Months where we rode on the beach and into the sea on a regular basis, a dream come true.

We are now back in England with challenging hacking where we meet buffalos, donkeys, turkeys and pigs! Now I would like to do some Le Trec events. I’m looking for a partner, anyone out there?
